STEFANO DELLA BELLA (1610-1664) - Etching

A wonderful etching by Stefano Della Bella (1610-1664)  On lower right: "Israel ex. privil Regis" and signed lower right with his monogram SDB.  A battle scene with Artillery (cannon), soldiers, and horses.  Etching size is ~ 4" x 10".  Framed and matted: 7" x 12¾".  Frame has a few chips.
The etching has not been removed from the frame.  Selling as we received it from an estate.  
Stefano Della Bella was an Italian engraver born in Florence.  He initially copied the works of Jacques Callot.  He traveled to Rome, Paris and the Netherlands, and developed his own style.  He completed many battle scenes.
